Finding Motivation as an Artist

Have you ever struggled with finding motivation for your art?

The older I get, the more I enjoy my time alone. Doing things alone is peaceful to me! And as an artist, I love how I can get really focused and make significant progress on my artistry. So, whenever I run into road blocks such as a loss of motivation, I don't really mind figuring out a solution without the help of another.

But why work harder when you can work...smarter?

When working alone, you're working against your most valuable asset: time. In a collaborative space, not only can you find solutions faster when you're trying to "fix" a painting, a healthy community can provide something incredibly priceless.

Community provides infinite positive energy.

Being around other artists on its own is motivating! Seeing artists complimenting and helping one another is a contagious source of positive energy. How could you not associate art with positive energy when you're surrounded by an uplifting community? This in turn makes us feel more positive about our own art just by proximity!

So, here's my challenge to you. Put yourself out there this week on social media, to a close friend, and/or family member!

Good luck artists!
